2 1/2 Years Old!

Mya turns 2 1/2 today!  Happy half birthday, little buddy!

Here are some notable notes regarding Mya...

*She likes to spend her day reading, playing with her dollhouse, swinging at the park, riding her bike, coloring, playing with her dolls and watching movies.  Her favorite movies of the moment are Beauty and the Beast and Toy Story 2.

*Oh, Mya is a talker.  She is very clear with her speaking and repeats everything we say.  She cracks me up with all the funny little things she says.  Some of my favorites are, "Oh my goodness" and "Bummer."

*Mya is a caring soul.  She is empathetic toward others and takes into account their feelings.  If I say that my back hurts, she will come over and rub my back.  No questions asked.

*She is a rough and tumble kid.  Scrapes are all over her legs.

*She has been moved up into the preschool room at daycare.  Her teachers feel that she is ready for a more challenging preschool curriculum.  The teacher-mom in me smiles about this.

*Mya is a little helper.  If you need someone to close a door, she's your girl.  She helps Greg with fix-it projects and helps me with cleaning and school projects.  She's an awesome laminator!

*Mya is STILL a picky eater...big shocker.  She doesn't eat much with sweets, but that's probably because we don't give them to her.  She still loves her grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, mac and cheese, spaghetti, yogurt, chicken nuggets and french fries.  She's BIG on fruit and crackers for her snacks.

*Mya has all of her teeth, except for one molar that we are waiting on.  We visited the dentist and she has healthy teeth, minus her front two that chipped a little bit.

*Independent is the best word to describe her.  She tries everything herself before asking for help.  She stays very focused when working on tasks and doesn't give up.
*Mya is such a smart little cookie.  Her memory is amazing...better than mine.
*We are so lucky that she is ours.
