9 Months Old

Ellie turned 9 months old on January 1st.  Crazy to think she is that old already!

Ellie...
*does not sleep through the night.  It will happen someday, right?  Sigh.
*is super close to crawling.  She made a crawling move today and then fell on her tummy.
*loves the vacuum cleaner.
*loves to clap, clap, clap!
*isn't fond of real people food yet.  It is a slow process with her!
*is a momma's girl.
*completely adores her sister.  No one can get more smiles or laughs than Mya!
*loves to bop along to music.

Christmas Pictures

Toward the end of November, we got the girls' pictures taken for our Christmas card.  I was very pleased with how they turned out.  Ellie wasn't in a smiley mood, but she still looked chubby and cute!  Mya was as photogenic as usual!

Christmas 2014

Christmas is always like a marathon.  It seems like we are always running from this place to that place.  Mya loves all of the hustle bustle and being with all of our families.

Christmas Eve started out with Greg's family.  Nearly everyone was home for Christmas, so it was a full house.  The kids always do a gift exchange and Mya got a Nerf gun from Tatiana.  It was a hit, to say the least!  Ellie got a musical toy from Aidan.  She loves things that make noise!

Following that, we headed down to my parents for our traditional homemade pizzas.  We ate and then opened gifts from my parents.  We even got a few nice family pictures!

Ellie does this hilarious head tilt thing.  She just looks at you and then does it.  It always makes me giggle!

Since Ellie didn't really get into the gift opening thing this year, Mya was very helpful in opening up her gifts.  :)

Christmas morning, Mya woke up and went to go see Ellie.  I think she initially forgot it was Christmas!  Then she realized what day it was and wanted to go downstairs to see if the Santa came.  She came upstairs kind of sad like.  She asked Greg if she had been naughty because she didn't see any presents.  Aww..poor girl!  Well, she neglected to go back by the Christmas tree.  When I reminded her of that, she perked back up!  Santa came and brought some fun toys for both of the girls!  Ellie was having a good time chewing on the wrapping paper and toothbrushes that were in the stockings.  Such simplicity for the baby!

The girls had a wonderful Christmas!  And Greg and I did too!
