Unca Noah

My brother lives over in the Cities, so we don't get to see him a ton.  However, he was home over Easter weekend.  To say that Mya gravitated toward Noah would be an understatement.  She was obsessed with him!  He's so good with her...played soccer, read books and played games.  Just what an "unca" should be!

You Got It, Dude!

Opening Day

For some families, Opening Day can mean a variety of things, like hunting or fishing.  However, in THIS house, Opening Day means Brewers baseball!

Each Opening Day we've captured a picture of Mya in her Brewers gear.  Play ball!

Hop, Hop, Hop!

Well, true to form, the Easter bunny found Mya once again this year!  And, once again, Mya was spoiled by that white fur ball!  Mya got some new Strawberry Shortcake movies (her current favorite), bubbles, swimsuit, Crocs, barrettes (if she should ever get enough hair to gather a barrette in!), and a bunch of other non-candy stuff.  She had a ball going through her basket and checking out what she got!

One thing that the Easter Bunny got Mya was a fishing game.  My brother and I had a game just like it when we were kids and that bunny thought Mya might be able to catch onto it.  Well, she thought it was a great game!  It is great for her fine motor skills.  She caught plenty of fish and never got frustrated if she didn't.  Instead, she outsmarted the game and turned off the rotating "water" and caught them that way.  Oh, and in case you were wondering, she is wearing her new Croc sandals over her footed jammies.

We had a great time with my parents and brother, whom Mya is slightly obsessed with.  Then we headed up to Greg's parents house and Mya got to partake in an Easter egg hunt! She found all of her eggs and collected some loot for her piggy bank!  Then she got to play with her crazy cousins for a bit!

Baby Talia is still the apple of Mya's eye

A few weeks ago I took Mya in to get a picture with a real bunny.  We did this last year and got the cutest picture!  This time was different.  For whatever reason, she was freaked out by the bunny.

This is as close as she would let the bunny get to her...

...eventually it ended up at the edge of the table!  Oh well!

We had a great holiday with our families and hope you did too!

Petting Zoo Adventures

We headed over to Menomonie this past weekend to check out Govin's lambing barn.  I was very unsure as to how Mya would react with the animals.  She likes many of them from afar, but is afraid of any type of dog up close.  After the bunny debacle a few weeks ago, I was sure I'd be carrying her around.  Well, there was ABSOLUTELY no reason to worry because Mya loooooooved them!

The baby lambs were a huge hit!  They were so adorable, fuzzy, and cuddly.  Mya sat on our laps and the lambs were placed on top of her lap.  She petted them, hugged them and gave them kisses.  It was so sweet.

There were also baby chicks in the barn.  As big of a hit as the lambs were, the chicks were an even bigger hit!  We held them in our hands and Mya cupped her hands around them too.  She was remarkably gentle with them.  She was so amazing with them!  The cutest thing was when she put her thumb on one of the chick's beaks and she said, "Chick bite thumb!"  She thought that was the funniest thing!

Here are just a couple other pictures of some of the animals we saw...including the 500 lb. pig.

Creepy Crawlies

Mya's run into an abundance of creepy crawlies as of late.  She found a spider in the house.  She called it the Itsy Bitsy Spider.  She thought it was fun to watch it.  She also thought it was fun to torture it by blowing on it.

She also discovered ants outside and was fascinated with them.

Then, SOMEONE, showed her how to stomp on them.  So, guess what she did then?  Of course, she stomped on them too.  Thanks, Mom!  :)

Then, as if the spider and ant weren't enough, Mya found a worm!  She thought it was really funny to see it wiggle around.  She liked checking it out, but didn't want anything to do with touching it.  Can't blame her.

Weekend in Winona

Last weekend we packed up and spent the weekend in our old stomping grounds, Winona.  On our agenda first was Olivia's first birthday party.  Olivia is the daughter of one of my Arcadia co-workers.  Mya had fun playing with Olivia's sister, Emma.  What a couple of cuties!

Then we went back to our place and Greg and his mom worked on fixing up the kitchen.  By the end of the weekend the kitchen looked completely transformed.  New paint, flooring, paint on cabinets, and fixtures on cabinets.  Hopefully that's what we need in order to get that house finally sold!

My job was to keep Mya busy.  She kept herself entertained by "helping" paint and put in flooring.

It was an unbelievably beautiful weekend and so we spent time outside.  I broke out the bubbles and Mya LOVED it!  She was always so amazed when the bubbles blew away, it was too funny!

The next day we went to visit our old daycare provider, Tina.  We hung outside and played with her kiddos Landyn and Madyson.  Mya ran to Tina right away, so I think she remembers her!

It was a great weekend!
