A Girl and Her Chair

Mya has sat in her little rocking chair before, however, this week she has learned how  climb up onto it.  Many times she will sit backwards because she hasn't quite figured out the turning part!  Sometimes she will try to rock it herself!  It's funny how something that has been around her entire life (short as it has been), is just now gaining her attention!  She loves it!  She runs to it when we get home and it entertains her for quite a while!

We also ran out of milk, juice and water.  We had to resort to giving her a Sam Adams.  ONLY KIDDING!

Movie Star Kisses

We (well, Greg) set up Mya's brand new grill.  She makes a mean hotdog!   We've talked how we think she already has a big imagination!  She loves to play...so fun to watch!

I'm hoping she doesn't think this is okay to do on a real grill!  :)

Mya has learned how to blow kisses!  Well, she make the motion by bringing her hand to her face...but then her hand just stays there!!  In any case, we ask her to blow us a kiss and she knows what to do!  It's just so darn cute!

I love this picture because you can totally see Mya's top two toofers!  She doesn't look very baby-like anymore!

One Man (or Girl) Band

Mya got a really fun birthday gift in the mail from her Uncle Michael, Aunt Jennie, and cousins Izzy and Aidan.  It was a 6 piece musical instrument set.  Let's just say that Mya has got some rhythm!  She loved all the instruments but was particularly fond of the shiny, gold cymbals.  Have you ever seen one of those wind-up monkeys that clang cymbals together?  Well, that's my daughter, to a T!

Working for Her Keep

We had a cooler full of ice for Mya's party last weekend.  We neglected to put it away and so Mya found use for it.  Our little worker pushes it all around the kitchen, and will sometimes heave it up so she's carrying it.  To me, it looks like she's a little labor union member on her way to work!  :)

Although, I'm guessing instead of essential lunch items a lunch box normally holds, hers would include a sippy cup, 'Nilla wafers, bananas other random things such as a baby doll and a touch and feel book!

She's a Hoot!

Mya got a baby stroller and playpen for her birthday.  We had them set up for her when she came home from daycare.  She spotted it immediately and wanted only to scurry out of my arms to play with it!  She picked up one of her baby dolls and placed her in the new stroller and pushed her around.

Then Daddy plopped Mya in the stroller and took a little walk around the house!  (She thought that was pretty fun)!

Then she started taking babies out of the playpen...only...

the babies were a little out of her reach and she kind of "fell" into the playpen.  It was hilarious!  Her little legs flailed all over the place and then eventually...

she slid right in!
