One Thing Leads to Another...

This morning I wanted to take a few pictures of Mya...then there was an explosion of sorts. Hence the reason for the bath pictures!! I just love her chubby little belly!

Then, I put Mya in the bouncer so I could take a shower. The first picture is before the shower and the second picture is after. She's such a little wiggleworm! I guess I'll have to start strapping her in!! She loves the bouncer though! She coos and "talks" to the animals. It's pretty darn cute!

Planting the Day Away

Not that I didn't already know this, but everything seems to take longer when you have a baby. Mya must have had on her crabby pants yesterday and didn't want to nap for more than 20 minutes yesterday. Here I had these great intentions of getting the flowers planted. It ended up being kind of a tag team thing. I started planting and Greg had her in the house with him. Then he came out with her in the stroller, she started to get fussy and so I took over baby duty and he worked on the plants. Repeat...get the picture?

In any case, the flowers have been planted and so have the tomatoes. We just need to get the beans in!

A Quiet Little Weekend

This weekend we didn't do a whole lot! Kind of nice sometimes! On Saturday Greg did tons of yardwork, so Mya and I ran some errands. And on Sunday I went out to lunch with my friend Kristie (it's so nice to be able to get out with other adults!) and then Greg, Mya and I went to go get flowers. I'm hoping that tomorrow I'll be able to get them planted! Needless to say, since it was such a low-key weekend I didn't really take a lot of pictures. But, here are a few!

I was making dinner and Mya was a little fussy so I held onto her. She quickly fell asleep, so I quickly put her down and finished dinner! I think it looks like Mya's cheeks are surely weighing her down!

Rainy Days

The past few days have been pretty gloomy. So what does any good mom do? She grabs the camera of course!

Mya has been sucking on her fist/hands a ton over the last few weeks. At first it was a sign that she was hungry. Now it's when she is tired. It has become a self-soothing mechanism. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a thumb sucker....once she actually realizes that there are fingers attached to that fist!

Mya doesn't mind being on her tummy, in fact that is how she prefers to sleep. It's fun to put her on her tummy now because she pushes herself up with her arms and her pudgy little legs fly up! Super Baby! I wonder if rolling is in the near future?

It is amazing at how much time I spend with the camera in my hand just waiting for her to do something! This certainly is something! Mya will mimic us now when we stick our tongues out, she'll do the same. Or at least get it moving around in that little mouth of hers!

I'm One Lucky Lady

I was feeding Mya this morning and she looked super tired. She didn't sleep really well last night and so she was tired only about an hour after waking up. Feeding time is one of my favorite times. Lately she will just stare at me. This morning during feeding time, she started to doze off. Thinking she was asleep, I took the bottle out of her mouth and she immediately started smiling coyly at me. Then she started cooing. I couldn't help but smile and think of how incredibly lucky I am to be her mom.

Like Father, Like Daughter

Greg was watching an episode of Conan on the internet and had Mya sitting with him. She has recently become intrigued with t.v. and so she naturally started watching this too. She started smiling as well (although Mom wasn't quick enough with the camera!)...looks like this kid already has a sense of humor!!

Fun Times with Mya

Tonight was a cold and rainy night. I put Mya in the warmest jammies she had. I've had these airplane pajamas for years and now Mya gets to wear them! We've hung out downstairs all night long and got in some good snuggle time with our favoritest daughter!

Mya LOVES standing up. She has such strong legs and they get stiff like a board! I just think she likes to see what's going on around her! Nosy baby!
